An Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology at 㽶Ƶ’s Faculty of Medicine and a member of the Cell Information Systems group at McGill’s Life Sciences Complex, Dr. Arjun Krishnaswamy was recently included among the 126 outstanding early-career researchers selected for 2019 Sloan Research Fellowships.

While much of Quebec has been struggling under a withering heatwave, five McGill students have been recognized for their research based in cooler climes, namely the Arctic.
Ratna Ghosh, of our Department of Integrated Studies in Education, has been named as a Membreééٱof the Order of Excellence in Education in Quebec (OEE). Prof. Ghosh received the medal at a ceremony in Quebec City on Friday, June 15th.
A team involving the research group of Ève-Marie Quintin has been awarded first prize at Québec's Prix À part entière, in the category of Commissions scolaires et établissements d'enseignement de niveau primaire ou secondaire soutenant la réussite éducative ("School boards and education institutions, elementary or secondary schools, supporting educational success").

Included among the impressive list of luminaries was Dr. Madhukar Pai, Director of McGill Global Health Programs. On April 21, Dr. Pai traveled to Berkeley to formally accept this honour as part of the official celebrations.

The Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) recently presented the 2018 CAR Gold Medal Award to Dr. Lawrence Stein, Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at 㽶Ƶ’s Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Stein is recognized as a leader by his peers by virtue of his long and successful career in academia, teaching, and his outstanding contributions to the advancement of radiology as a specialty.

Flanders Emeritus Professor of Palliative Care at 㽶Ƶ was among the six renowned medical pioneers recognized as the 2018 Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Inductees during a special ceremony, hosted in partnership with the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
