Dr. Gillian Bartlett-Esquilant has been selected as this year鈥檚 recipient of the Carrie M. Derick Award for Excellence Graduate Teaching and Supervision. The Award and a citation will be presented at Spring Convocation. The recipient receives a plaque, and his/her name is inscribed on a permanent plaque in the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office.

Allana Mayer, School of Information Studies MLIS II student is the winner of the ProQuest , open to LIS students worldwide!听The Roger K. Summit Scholarship, awarded annually by ProQuest, recognizes LIS students who demonstrate outstanding interest or performance in electronic information services.听The award is the equivalent of US $5,000 and will be presented at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual Conference.

Professor Nancy Adler has been selected by the International Society of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals (ISDIP) as an honoree at the Legends of Diversity Dinner. The dinner will take place during the International Society of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals 2nd Annual Conference, August 6-9, 2013 in Montreal. The theme of the conference is 鈥淚nternational Insights and Innovation.鈥 Professor Adler will be honoured for her work鈥檚 impact on the diversity and inclusion movement across the globe.
