Earlier today, a Quebec based consortium of research institutes (G茅nome Qu茅bec, Oncopole and IVADO) announced the winners of their first-ever 鈥淥mics Data Against Cancer鈥� competition, and McGill research teams were dominant. In fact, of the five selected teams no less than four of them included professors from McGill.

Congratulations to ECE Graduate Catherine Vanasse Grosdidier on being awarded one of the two Governor General's Silver Medal at this year's graduation ceremony. The Medal is bestowed upon the graduating student who obtains the highest academic standing in a Bachelor degree program across McGill.
Catherine completed her B.Eng (Honours) degree while also serving as the President of the ECE student society, ECSESS, (Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering Student Society).
