The Faculty of Law was once again ranked among the world鈥檚 top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed McGill Law 28th worldwide, up one spot from 2023.
Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 35 institutions globally. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.

As of Monday, April 8, McGill students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 香蕉视频 (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 15 to 30 examination period.
