Our Faculty Commitment

The McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism to provide an inclusive, healthy and safe learning and working environment for all. We stand together for equity, diversity and inclusion, without exception. We recognize that we must continuously strive to do better, taking action as a community with a shared mission in a way that reflects our core values, among them: compassion, integrity, openness, fairness and respect for one another.

We are committed to leading by example in our interactions, working hard to avoid all forms of harm in what we say. We can only achieve our mission of serving society in an environment that brings out the best in who we teach, work and learn with, and care for in our community. This is integral to what we do.

We must remember that our words matter.
