Colin J. Adair Charitable Foundation Fellowship

Established in 2022 by the Colin J. Adair Charitable Foundation, to support outstanding graduate and postdoctoral students and trainees in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Eligibility Awarded by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences upon the recommendation of the Director of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Research Centre for Studies in Aging (MCSA) on the basis of academic merit to one or more Master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral scholar(s) pursuing research in the area of Alzheimer’s Disease and studies in aging within the MCSA.

Defi Corporatif Canderel Studentship And Fellowship

Eligibility Open to Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellow candidates within the first two years of working with members or associate members of the Goodman Cancer Research Centre.
Value $10,000 Studentships; $15,000 Fellowships. One year support in both cases; non-renewable.

Established in 2003 by a bequest from Rolande Dubreuil Gosselin.

The Ï㽶ÊÓƵ - Montreal Children’s Hospital Research Institute offers a limited number of postdoctoral and research fellowships.

Eligibility Medical, dental or doctoral graduates undertaking full time training in paediatric research. Candidate must be supervised by an investigator with formal primary affiliation with Ï㽶ÊÓƵ - Montreal Children’s Hospital Research Institute.

Eligibility This travel award covers travel expenses of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows presenting research related to movement disorders at international scientific meetings, including the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting. Travel awards are awarded on a competitive basis.

Banque Nationale Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Eligibility This fellowship supports the training of postdoctoral fellows in work related to translational research and knowledge creation. Candidates must hold an M.D. or a Ph.D. degree. This fellowship is awarded on a competitive basis.

Eligibility This fellowship supports research and study in clinical and basic neuroscience. Candidates must hold an M.D. or a Ph.D. degree. Mark Rayport & Shirley Ferguson Rayport Clinical Fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery

Eligibility This fellowship supports the training of a neurosurgeon to develop expertise in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and to have the opportunity to study related research techniques. Candidates must hold an M.D. or a Ph.D. degree. This fellowship is awarded on a competitive basis.

Mary Louise Nickerson Fellowship in Neuro History

Established in 2011 by Granville H. Nickerson, M.D.,C.M. 1945, in honour and in memory of his wife, Mary Louise, who was an inspiration to many of Dr. Granville Nickerson's classmates of McGill's Medicine Class of 1945, an acknowledged scholar and an enthusiastic promoter of the Arts.

Eligibility The Fellowship will allow a scholar to carry out research utilizing the Neuro History archival and artifact collections, the centrepiece of which is the Penfield Archive in the Osler Library, and including other resources available at the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Archives.

Nakhle and Claudine Wehbe Fellowship

Established in 2019 by Alain Wehbe, BEng 2002, for outstanding graduate students engaged in research directed toward neurosurgical treatment of Parkinson Disease.

Eligibility Awarded annually by the Montreal Neurological Institute upon recommendation of the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, on the basis of academic merit.

Established in 2024 by family and friends in loving memory of Sophia Vorias.

Eligibility Awarded by the Integrated Program in Neuroscience Awards Committee at the Montreal Neurological Institute on the basis of academic excellence in Neurology or Neuroscience to one or more graduate students enrolled in a full-time degree program at the MNI, including graduate students in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience.
