The Health and Well-Being Program is proud to present the Parenting Series, featuring renowned parenting expert Mitsiko Miller. This indispensable 4-part series provides an invaluable roadmap for parents seeking to enhance their parenting skills and raise confident, healthy, and well-adjusted children, all while embracing the joys of parenthood.

Through a series of interactive and engaging workshops, parents will gain practical insights and tools to navigate the complexities of modern-day parenting. Whether it's managing stress, building resilience or fostering positive relationships, this series offers a wealth of knowledge and practical advice to help parents tackle the challenges of raising children in today's fast-paced world.

Workshop 1: Harmony at Home – May 24 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm (IN-PERSON)

Just ahead of the summer holiday, join us for the first workshop in this series: Harmony at home, where you will learn how to build harmonious relationships for your entire family's well-being. During this workshop, you will discover tools and strategies to encourage self-responsibility, empathy and collaboration in order to find win-win solutions with your children and partner.

The other workshop in this series include:

  • Workshop 2: Helping our Kids Overcome Anxiety (September): Our way of life generates tremendous amounts of stress. It impacts behaviours, decisions-making capacities as well as emotional management skills. How can we help our kids build those skills and manage stress and anxiety to improve self-confidence and build healthy relationships? Discover tools to secure children and help them spread their wings.
  • Workshop 3: Parental Burnout (February 2024): How can we avoid chronic stress in our parenting and keep our mental balance? Tools and tips to manage stress, outplay our inner critic, and unburden ourselves for the mental load to shift towards a laidback and joyful parenting style.
  • Workshop 4: Single Parenting Debunked (May 2024): Parenting can be a tough job. It can be even more demanding as a single parent. How can we build our support network? How can we enjoy parenting? How can we unwind and recharge effectively? Tools and strategies to navigate everyday life with confidence and parent from the heart.
