Title of the project
Encourage the return and retention of and support the English-speaking students and professional communities
Organization
CSSS des Sommets
Partners
Anglophone Advisory Committee, Ste-Agathe Academy, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, John Abbott College, Vanier College, Champlain College, Cégep St-Jérôme
Description of planned Activities
This project addresses the issue of vacant posts in a range of health professions as well as a lack of English-speaking employees. English-speaking people in the region are beginning to go to Montreal for services they should be able to receive from CSSS des Sommets. The first two years of the project (2005-06 and 06-07) determined more precisely the number of field placements, established support mechanisms and identified students, in collaboration with the educational institutions. In 2007-08, seven interns completed their field placement in this setting.
Budget Allocation
$120,000
