To increase the offer of the number of health and social services (promotion, prevention, diagnostic and therapeutic services) for English- speaking persons in the regions by offering distance services

Target and Partners

Target: English-speaking persons living in the regions.
Partners: Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, agencies, McGill University Health Centre Telehealth Service, Health and social services institutions offering services to English-speaking persons in the regions, institutions in the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ health and social services network, community health and social services network, English-speaking communities.

Role of CHSSN

  1. Work with and supports organizations and groups representing English-speaking communities so they may: Improve their capacity to assess and make known their needs for distance health and social services;
    Gain access to telehealth facilities;
  2. Develop partnerships with local and regional health and social services institutions.
  3. Carry out the needs assessment for distance health and social services on the part of the English-speaking communities;
  4. Promote the offer of telehealth services to the English-speaking communities;
  5. Support the communities in evaluating the telehealth programs;
  6. Coordinate the transmission of distance health and social services with the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre telehealth service with the English-speaking communities, the agencies and the health and social services institutions covered;

    Ensure that the data required for evaluation as well as financial reporting are collected and submitted quarterly and annually to Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.
