Introduction to GENGI:
The Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancer Clinic (GENGI) is available to individuals with hereditary types of gastrointestinal cancer to help streamline and coordinate the appropriate cancer screening.Ìý These syndromes predispose to a range of cancers and require complex and intensive surveillance protocols.
Objective:
The main goal of the GENGI clinic is cancer prevention. The GENGI team aims to do this by facilitating and coordinating the necessary screening and follow-up of patients, by recruiting family members who are at-risk, and by keeping patients updated about new information.
