To recognize the accomplishments of SSP residents who are successful in their applications to scholarships from government agencies (i.e., FRQS and CIHR), these residents are now eligible to receive a bonus award,听the Surgical Scientist Excellence Award, from SSP.听
IMPORTANT : This is a one-time award which is tenable in the year of their first successful FRQS or CIHR application and is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Please note that the Surgical Scientist Excellence Award is not accumulative, so residents will receive a maximum of $5000 CAD even if they are successful in more than one of the competitions listed above.
