Helping Students in Difficulty
If a McGill student or community member is in immediate danger, call 911, then call Security Services at 514-398-3000 who will coordinate with emergency responders.

Our SSEM team, which includes our Service Representatives and Program/Career Advisors, plays a key role in supporting students during their studies.

Refer Students to the McGill Writing Centre
The provides writing support that empowers students to write clear, concise, and engaging prose.
This includes a听team of tutors who offer constructive consults (30 minutes or one hour) to support students on their writing and communication. Students can听.
Our New SCS Liaison: Farhan Ahmed
Farhan听Ahmed is a Writing Centre tutor and the new primary liaison for SCS and McGill Association of Continuing Education Students (MACES).
Farhan听brings diverse experience to the role as liaison to SCS and MACES. A writer, musician, and Well-Being Coach,听Farhan听earned a Master in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore. His professional journey spans working in journalism in Bangladesh, developing emerging digital advertising markets at Google in Singapore, and editing internationally published works, including for Oxford University Press. Since 2020, he has enriched McGill鈥檚 academic community through occasional workshops with Graphos/McGill Writing Centre that bring innovative approaches to writing inspired by his interdisciplinary background.
