Title: Self-Regulation Hypnotic Intervention for Pain and Anxiety during Brachytherapy for Rectal Cancer: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Dr. Sylvain Neron is the coordinator of the Louise Granofsky Psychosocial Oncology Program (JGH), is an Assistant professor in oncology and psychology (Joint, Professonial) (U. McGill), is a full member of the Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain, and is an Approved Consultant of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
He is developing scientific evidence for non-pharmacological techniques, such as clinical hypnosis, in improving symptom management and reducing anxiety and pain in cancer patients who are undergoing diagnostic and surgical procedures.
