Winner of the Hakim Family Innovation Prize

SeeSpine

SeeSpine Team

SeeSpine is a telehealth application leveraging 3D imaging and artificial intelligence for scoliosis. SeeSpine allows patients and physicians to screen for scoliosis and monitor progression remotely. From a simple 15-second video taken on any smartphone, SeeSpine reconstructs a model of the torso to quantify asymmetries and predict curve progression. SeeSpine’s radiation-free technology allows for frequent observations to decrease scoliosis progression and the associated breast cancer risks.

AFX Medical

AFX Medical TEam

AFX Medical was co-founded by Simon Ducharme, MD, with the objective to leverage AI for the development of products that improve clinical care in brain disorders. Using a unique dataset from a tertiary care hospital, AFX Medical uses innovative deep learning-based methods to develop an algorithm that automatically detects and tracks brain metastases on brain MRI. The results demonstrate a high accuracy with a low rate of false positives. This product aims to improve clinical care at reduced costs.
