Use your McGill credentials to sign into the Classic Catalogue (Aleph)
Beginning the week of January 3, 2017, McGill students and staff can sign into the Classic Catalogue using their McGill Username and password.

The Library is closed for the holidays from Friday, December 23, 2016聽through Monday, January 2, 2017, inclusive.
All branches will open on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Links to McGill Library e-resources will not work as expected Sunday, December 4, 2016 between 2:30am and 5am, due to scheduled maintenance to the EZproxy authentication system.
RESOLVED: Problems with WorldCat search results
Update, November 29, 4:30pm: The problems with McGill holdings in WorldCat Local have been resolved.
We聽are currently experiencing problems with call number and location information not showing for physical items in our WorldCat Catalogue. We are working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
Saturday, November 26: Schulich Library - temperature fluctuation
On 聽Saturday, November 26 from 3am to 5pm, Facilities will be performing renovation work聽that will affect temperatures in the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering. The steam distribution system in the Macdonald-Stewart Library Building (Schulich Library) will be shut down in order to fix six leaks before the winter season sets in. As a result, library users may experience colder than normal temperatures.
RESOLVED: Classic Catalogue access problems from off campus
Update, November 23: Yesterday's issues affecting off-campus access to the Library's Classic Catalogue have been resolved.
We are currently experiencing issues with off-campus access to the Library's Classic Catalogue. From off campus, users encounter the error: Error 403 Forbidden | Access from IP address 132.174.254.12 not allowed.

In 聽conjunction with Open Access Week and Homecoming, 135 years of McGill graduate scholarship is now聽available online!聽Years in the making, the electronic thesis and dissertation collection now includes almost 42,000聽open access McGill theses and dissertations dating back to 1881. Theses and dissertations are searchable by faculty and department, degree, or subject聽at聽escholarship.mcgill.ca.
