- Discuss the concept of the mental load as it applies to the home and family.
- Understand this form of hidden household work within current historical and cultural contexts.
- Engage in reflexive activities for navigating one’s own mental load and its impact on daily life.
- Explore some resources for managing the effects of mental overload.
About the speaker: Anna-Maria Occhiuto’s academic work has focused on cognitive labour performed in the household and for the family, social reproduction theory, feminist theory and motherhood.
