Orange Shirt Day: “We Will Walk Together” / Skàtne Entewathahìta
To commemorate the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous allies will unite to reflect on the theme of hope and healing. Join us for the We Will Walk Together / Skàtne Entewathahìta virtual ceremonies, led by Elder Geraldine Standup (Traditional Healer, Kahnawa:ke), featuring Indigenous storytellers, Inuit throat singer Nina Segalowitz, and an excerpt from the original musical “Reconciliation” (St. Edmund Elementary School).
We will hear from McGill community members on the role of educators to make meaningful societal change in support of Indigenous peoples and cultures.
