Infinite Hope: Collaborative Storytelling Workshop

Tuesday, August 22, 2023 16:00to17:30

The McGill Community Education Garden is hosting a collaborative storytelling workshop "Infinite Hope - Imagining a Better World", developed by the Civic Paths group at the University of South California as part of the Civic Imagination Project.

This workshop is an invitation to create a “collective vision of what a better tomorrow might look like”, while “working to bridge perceived cultural gaps between diverse communities”. The collection of stories generated across the world through various community-based engagements is made accessible on the digital resource Atlas of Civic Imagination. Come and contribute to this global project that “connects our hopes, concerns and aspirations” for the future!

In the McGill Education Community Garden (adjacent to the Education Building, 3699 Peel St.)

What to expect:

  • Engage in a future-focused workshop exploring the power of stories to inspire real-world change.
  • Practice world-building, the art of creating an alternative world with fantastic and realistic solutions to cultural, environmental, social and political challenges of our time.
  • Discuss alternative visions, confront ideas and engage in group reflection.

This event is free and open to everyone, within and beyond the McGill community! .
