Ash Lowenthal

Ash Lowenthal is a doctoral candidate in Social Work at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. She is supervised by Dr. Delphine Collin-Vézina and is an active member of her research team, the (SR/CT) housed at the CRCF.

Ash Lowenthal is passionate about transformative social change, organizational development and trauma- and violence-informed care. She is currently combining these passions in her doctoral work where she is studying organizational change in the context of the trauma-informed care movement from an intersectional feminist lens.

Ash has over a decade of experience working in social services, community mental health agencies, community development and social justice initiatives. In her clinical practice, she became specialized in working with marginalized youth and their families with complex needs.

She holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA (Honours) in Gender Studies and International Development from the University of Guelph.
