Call number browse is now available in WorldCat Discovery. You can now search for materials by call number.
Instructions:
- In the catalogue search box found on the Library's homepage, type in the call number search index (nu:) followed by the call number. For example: (see image).
Discover McGill Library鈥檚 print collection serendipitously online through WorldCat Discovery鈥檚 new 鈥淏rowse the Shelf鈥� tool.
To use the browse option, access , open the detailed view of the item record, and click 鈥淏rowse the Shelf鈥�.

McGill Library recently upgraded the existing WorldCat Local online catalogue and search tool to its successor WorldCat Discovery. Now that WorldCat Discovery delivers functionality beyond that in WorldCat Local, provider OCLC plans to retire WorldCat Local on 9 August 2019. Library users who have created and saved personal lists on their WorldCat Local user account should export lists into their WorldCat Discovery user account before August 9th.

McGill Library has completed the upgrade to WorldCat Discovery. McGill鈥檚 single catalogue is now available . As a result of this single system implementation, the Classic Catalogue is听no longer be available. All materials in the Classic Catalogue are available in WorldCat Discovery.
To access your Library account, visit the McGill and click on the SIGN IN button located on the upper right using your McGill username and password.
As a final step in our migration to the Discovery catalogue, a verification of our library data will be run on physical items in our collection starting at the end of day on Thursday, May 2 and lasting until the early morning of Monday, May 6.
The McGill Library will be moving towards a single catalogue on May 1, 2019. Please be advised that due to this major migration, a series of service interruptions will occur from April 23 to May 2. All dates below subject to change.

Loan history
Last summer, McGill Library upgraded the existing WorldCat Local online catalogue and search tool to its successor WorldCat Discovery. The final stage of the upgrade currently underway will amalgamate all back-end applications needed to manage a library, including acquisitions, circulation, resource sharing, and a single-search discovery interface for library users.
Update, December 6, 2018: The issues with McGill Library Full Text links in Google Scholar have been resolved.

McGill Library Full Text (link resolver) links in Google Scholar have disappeared suddenly and McGill is no longer appearing as an option to select under "Library links". As McGill Library has not made a change to our link resolver or Google Scholar configuration, we are working to isolate the cause and make it available again. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Ebooks on the MyiLibrary platform will be migrating to ProQuest's Ebook Central on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
All content currently available on MyiLibrary will continue to be accessible through the Library catalogue with links automatically redirecting to Ebook Central.
Tomorrow, January 31, providers using Atypon鈥檚 Literatum websites (including Taylor and Francis) will be implementing an enhanced level of web security (TLS or Transport Layer Security). This will mean no change for patrons using Chrome, Firefox and IE11 browsers. However, anyone using Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 will receive an error message. Taylor and Francis is advising patrons using earlier versions of Internet Explorer to upgrade to IE11 which fully supports TLS.
