I wanted to share that one of our finalists for theÌýThree Minute Thesis Competition, is none other than one of your own graduate students,ÌýIda DerishÌýfrom the Department of Experimental Surgery.ÌýShe will be representing your department at our final livestreamed event onÌýMarch 18 from 3:00-5:00 PM.
In case you have not yet heard about it, The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a global competition, founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, that cultivates graduate students' presentation, research and communication skills. This year, more than 150 graduate students accepted McGill's 10th edition of the challenge. After weeks of competition and feedback, only fifteen students remain! Finalists will have to present their cutting-edge research and make it resonate for a live lay audience, all in three minutes and with a single slide. Judges will select winners, who receive cash prizes, and the opportunity to represent McGill at theÌýÌýandÌý
March 18 from 3:00-5:00 PM
