Overview

Ed Psych & Couns (Psychology) : Introductory principles and issues related to assessment, and also specific to the workplace-based contexts specific to health sciences education (HSE). Concepts include: creating and using assessments for decision-making; generating feedback for learners; and examining the quality of assessments, and critical assessment literacy on the uses and interpretations of assessment in HSE. Basic principles of program evaluation, introduction to several frameworks used to guide its design, and key steps in formulating an evaluation plan.

  • Prerequisite: EDPE 658

  • 1. The blended format requires a total of 130 hours of learning time. This will be achieved by 20 hours of face-to-face instruction, 60 hours of on-line synchronous and asynchronous instruction, and 50 hours of individual work including readings, assignments and projects
