BIEN 602 Biomanufacturing for Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Biologics (3 credits)

Offered by: Bioengineering (Faculty of Engineering)

Administered by: Graduate Studies

Overview

BIEN : Fundamental and quantitative overview of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ biologics. Introduction to Ï㽶ÊÓƵ biologics associated biomanufacturing unit operations in upstream (design tools and large-scale production systems of DNA templates for in vitro Ï㽶ÊÓƵ transcription; small-scale and large-scale Ï㽶ÊÓƵ bioprocessing systems), and downstream approaches for Ï㽶ÊÓƵ purification (like Tangential flow filtration and Ï㽶ÊÓƵ-specific chromatography systems) for emerging mÏ㽶ÊÓƵ therapeutics. Introduction to established and emerging applications of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ biologics for gene and cell therapy.
