International Dental Graduates
Dentists who graduated from a non-accredited dental program interested in getting licensed to practise in Canada can complete the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process. The Equivalency Process is comprised of three Assessments. Successful completion of the Assessments allows individuals to apply to take the NDEB Written and OSCE examinations. Graduates of non-accredited dental programs who wish to practice in Quebec should also consult with the .
Applicants who are graduates of a non-accredited dental program and are Quebec residents may apply to the Faculty of Dentistry's Degree Completion Program for entry into the second year of the D.M.D. program. They will be required to successfully complete the NDEB prior to submitting an application (minimum required score of 75), and must demonstrate proficiency in English (minimum scores: TOEFL 90; IELTS 6.5).
Candidates selected for Degree Completion positions are placed in the second half of the second year of the 4-year D.M.D. program. International Dental Graduates join students accepted into the 4-year D.M.D. program and complete the last 2.5 years of the program with them. They receive a D.M.D. degree from Ï㽶ÊÓƵ at completion of the program. The number of Degree Completion positions available every year varies depending on space and the needs of the program.
All candidates applying to our Degree Completion Program must complete the Compulsory Immunization Program prior to being permitted to treat patients.
Advanced Standing students will be expected to purchase a complete McGill Instrument Kit prior to beginning into the D.M.D. program.
