Overview
Performance : Continuation of MUPG 672D1/D2 Liturgical Improvisation; Acquisition of skill in improvised counterpoint to the creation of versetti, short fugal pieces and chorale preludes in traditional styles; Thoroughbass practice in regard to shaping of harmonic progression and cantus firmus harmonization.
Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Prerequisite: MUPG 672D1/D2
Restrictions: Open to graduate organ students in the Organ and Church Music program and the Early Music program. Not open to students who have taken MUPG 678.
Students must register for both MUPG 679D1 and MUPG 679D2
No credit will be given for this course unless both MUPG 679D1 and MUPG 679D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
MUPG 679D1 and MUPG 679D2 together are equivalent to MUPG 679
