Fund purpose: The McGill Commitment, one of the President's five priorities, pledges to offer McGill undergraduate students opportunities to challenge themselves to expand their horizons and to provide comprehensive support, advising, and mentoring.

Types of projects: Projects that improve advising for students and provide experiential opportunities.

Funding available for 2024-25: $3,253

Eligibility: Open to student groups, faculties and units.

Submission cycle: 

  • April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (applications must be received by March 14, 2025)
  • Payments are issued starting May 1, 2024

To apply:

Submit the following documents in an email to studentgroups.dpsll [at] mcgill.ca (studentgroups[dot]dpsll[at]mcgill[dot]ca) titled "Funding Proposal: McGill Commitment".

  • A word document of no more than 750 words containing:
    • Project description/summary and objectives;
    • Expected impact/benefits to the population it will reach;
    • How the project aligns to the purpose of the funds; and
    • Timeline of project development.
  • A budget proposal that clearly outlines the amount of funds requested and the projected use of the funds. Please use this template for the budget proposal.
