Programs

Professional Programs

To be eligible to apply for licensure to practice in Occupational or Physical Therapy, a Master of Science (Applied) degree, previously called a Professional Master, must be completed. Students may apply to the Master of Science (Applied) via two possible pathways:

  1. An undergraduate degree offered by the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy : either a Bachelor of Science, Rehabilitation Science, major in Occupational Therapy or a Bachelor of Science, Rehabilitation Science, major in Physical Therapy. Places are reserved in the Master of Science (Applied) programs for students who have completed the corresponding Bachelor of Science degree.
  2. Students who have completed an undergraduate degree may apply to the Qualifying Year for the Master of Science (Applied) degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy. Places are reserved in the Master of Science (Applied) programs for students who have completed the Qualifying Year.

Research Programs

Research-based Masters and PhD Programs in Rehabilitation Science are offered at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy.  These are designed for individuals (clinicians and/or scholars) with a degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy or a related field who are seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in research related to health and rehabilitation.
