Temporary Locations for Research Administration Services
Following extensive flooding at the end of January, the second floor of the James Building will be closed for the next three to six months. As a result, McGill鈥檚 Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) has moved to two temporary locations. Normal research-related services will resume by Wednesday, February 20.聽

A McGill tribute to a "Grand Dame of Science"It is with much sadness that I communicate to the McGill neuroscience community the news of the death of Rita Levi-Montalcini on December 31, 2012. She was the discoverer of the first trophic protein in the nervous system, Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). For this seminal discovery she was given the 1986 Nobel Prize in Medicine. The discovery of NGF opened a new era in Neuroscience research.

McGill and Tsinghua University explore new collaborations
On November 16, Prof. Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 香蕉视频, visited Tsinghua University, a leading Chinese institution of higher learning. She met with her counterpart President Chen Jining, and they discussed how they might strengthen ties between the two universities in the coming years.
During the talks, a number of areas of mutual interest emerged.
McGill to expand ties with China鈥檚 top university
On November 16, Prof. Heather Munroe-Blum, McGill鈥檚 Principal and Vice-Chancellor, visited Peking University (PKU), which consistently places as China鈥檚 best university in worldwide rankings.
Following her meetings with Prof.
