In 2012, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) and St. Mary’s Hospital Center (SMHC) joined forces to improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction for cancer patients served by the McGill Academic Health Network.
This long-term collaborative effort, named the Rossy Cancer Network (RCN), became possible thanks to the exceptional support of the Rossy Foundation whose initial financial contribution laid the groundwork.
The MUHC, JGH and SMHC, all three affiliated McGill teaching hospitals, are working together based on a shared mission, vision and strategic plan of the RCN.
The network also serves the academic mission of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. The RCN supports research aimed at improving quality of care for cancer patients. It also enhances skills and participates in training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
The network, provides an exceptional opportunity to its members to advance care using a common framework of quality, resources and tools.
