Clinical Psychological Science

Clinical psychological science refers to both a professional discipline and an area of research focused on the assessment, etiology, prevention, and treatment of psychological and behavioral dysfunction. Given the integration of basic and clinical research in the department, clinical issues are approached from a number of different perspectives, and there is often overlap with other research areas such as behavioral neuroscience, cognitive science, developmental psychology, personality and social psychology.

See the section about the graduate program in clinical psychological science for a discussion of the strong integration of research and practice at McGill.
