Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's Utilities and Energy Management team is crucial in maintaining the safety and reliability of medium-voltage electrical equipment across campus. This includes the ongoing maintenance, repair, and operation of the electrical networks that power all university buildings and facilities.

The team ensures that medium-voltage equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers, is regularly inspected and serviced to prevent disruptions and extend the life of the equipment. By focusing on preventative maintenance, they reduce the risk of electrical failures that could impact campus operations.

In addition to routine maintenance, the team responds quickly to any electrical issues, coordinating with utility providers like Hydro-Québec to restore service and minimize downtime. This proactive approach helps ensure a reliable power supply, supporting the university’s critical functions and daily activities.

This contract covers services for performing work on medium-voltage electrical systems (nominal phase-to-phase voltage between 750V and 44,000V), including maintenance, repair, renovation, rehabilitation, replacement, and installation, to assist Utilities and Energy Management in its buildings located on the Downtown/Central Heating Plant and Macdonald campuses.

The term of the contract will be thirty-six (36) months from the effective date. The contract may be extended for up to two (2) periods of twelve (12) months each, for a maximum term of sixty (60) months, at the sole discretion of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.
