JANA MARIE PERKINS is a recent graduate of the M.A. in English program at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. A work of interdisciplinary scholarship, her research on poetry and poetics was funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Seeking to investigate the myriad confluences among scientific writings on modes of visual perception and literary understandings of the poetic imagination, her current project offers a study of the ways in which poets construe the relations between empirical and aesthetic forms of vision.
