Autoclave
- Using a metal tray is obligatory.
- Containers holding liquids should not be overfilled to avoid the contentsÌýfrom ‘boiling-over’ into the autoclave chamber
- Avoid crowding or stacking
- Liquids and dry goods must be processed separately as they require different cycle selections
- Indicator tape should be used to validate the sterilization/decontamination process
- Use orange insulating gloves to hold hot trays.
- Sign in and logout is mandatory
