The McGill Orthopaedic Research Laboratory was founded in May 1993. The Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research facility dedicated to basic and applied spinal research, focusing on the functional spinal unit, and the single motion segment of the spine.
Researchers and clinicians in the field of biomechanics, biochemistry, morphology, and electrophysiology, combine to form a fully integrated multidisciplinary laboratory. The group intends to provide a comprehensive understanding of spinal disorders that will lead to an improvement of current diagnostic and therapeutic tools of spinal pathology.
