Biography: 

Dr. Adil Harroud is a neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroimmunology. His research centers on understanding the mechanisms that underlie MS susceptibility and progression, with a focus on genetics. By identifying genetic and environmental causes of multiple sclerosis, Dr. Harroud aims to identify interventions that can prevent MS and novel pathways for treatment of MS progression. He has contributed to the identification of the first genetic modifiers of disease severity in MS. His research combines genomics, bioinformatics and epidemiology in large international cohorts and biobanks.

Dr. Harroud holds a medical degree from Université de Montréal and completed his neurology residency at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. He then completed a research fellowship in MS genetics at the University of California, San Francisco.
