Information Session: Anti-Racism Learning Pathway

Tuesday, March 29, 2022 13:00to14:00

The EDI Pilot Program will be an intensive series of workshops that focuses on anti-racism and anti-oppression with a committed cohort of learners. Each cohort will need to commit to 6 sessions of two hours with breaks every Tuesday morning starting April 12th. The goal of this program is to build capacity and confidence in embodying anti-racism practices and strengthen participants relationship to EDI with the benefit of more time and a smaller group of committed learners. This facilitates the learning environment necessary to go beyond the surface of EDI education. The pilot and its learning outcomes will be based on each cohort’s learning needs and current understandings of EDI measured through a pre-evaluation assessment. The pilot program uses methodologies touching on experiential and participatory learning and emergent design.

There is limited space in this pilot program. Because of the experimental nature of this pilot, each participant will be selected by the facilitator to best form a cohort suited for the levels of engagement and dynamics this program requires. We will also work to ensure a cohort that is balanced across different units and faculties. Therefore, registering does not guarantee a place in the cohort. All registrants will be invited to attend an information session and will be notified of their participation before program start. It is recommended for you to block off these times in your calendar in the meantime.
