The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (MORSL) is partnering with trained wellness facilitators at McGill who come from relevant cultural and faith backgrounds to offer space for faith-based groups to help McGill studentsÌýmanage the spiritual and emotional distressÌýsurrounding events in the Middle East and in the news or social media.
This group is forÌýstudents who identify asÌýMuslim across the faith and cultural spectrum, including different branches and levels of observance. Group discussion will be facilitated by McGill wellness professionals and supported by MORSL staff with special contributions from one of MORSL's volunteer Muslim faith leaders. The group is grounded in the principles of confidentiality and mutual respect. No electronic devices permitted.
There are several sessions planned over the semester that you can join. Each session is unique - you do not have to have attended a previous session to join an upcoming session. You also do not have to attend all the sessions.
You have the option of attending in-person or by remote. If participating remotely, please ensure you are in a private space and that you will not be interrupted nor overheard.
Please register for each session individuallyÌýin order to allow us to manage the space constraints.
