Interests

Graduate Health and Wellness

  • The Graduate Student Health and Wellness Working Group (GSHWWG) integrates H&W initiatives in different departments, establishes priorities to improve H&W of our graduate students and postdocs in the Faculty, and identifies required resources for Faculty-wide programs such as: New education and awareness activities; Improved access to enhanced peer- and non-peer support programs; Faculty training and Promotion of healthy practices within research environments. The working group comprises graduate students representing a range of departments in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and ad hoc allies.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Students Advocating for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (SAFE) is a student-led group, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, interested in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion among the graduate student and post-doctoral fellows communities. Our aim is to create a collective support system to mutually help and empower everyone to succeed at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

Data and Statistics working group

  • The purpose of this group is to develop pathways to ensure that all graduate students in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences- regardless of department or discipline - have access to graduate level courses in statistics.

Events

  • The Graduate Studies office periodically needs help with hosting events such as “Discovery Nightâ€
