Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences offers orientation sessions for all new faculty in the Spring and Fall of each year. These sessions aim to provide advice on academic career planning and provide resources to support the academic development of new faculty members. To register for one of the orientation sessions please visit Faculty Development. The Academic Affairs Office has also created a Quick Reference Guide for New Faculty with links to key resources. If you are not able to attend the sessions, you may prefer to watch a .

All new McGill faculty members should complete their Mandatory Supervision Orientation which is offered by Graduate and Postdoctoral Support (GPS) in May and October. Helpful resources for graduate supervisors can also be found at Teaching and Learning Services.
