Registration Steps & Procedures

Registration Period:ÌýJune 12, 2024 to August 14, 2024

Registration opens at 9 a.m. on the first day for all students. All course registration is done via your Minerva account. Please remember that most of the courses are open to thousands of students and, therefore, registration is first-come-first-served. Ensure you register for at least one course by August 14th in order to avoid late fees.

*Please note that if you have been awarded an entrance scholarship, you can register as of June 10, 2024 (*only students awarded an entrance scholarship)

Montreal Campus

Use Minerva to register for required courses at McGill.

Use the Med-P Curriculum to plan your selections of a Science track, complementary Arts courses and elective. Be sure to have alternatives in case the desired course is unavailable.

Course Catalogue â—„ A catalogue of all of the courses offered with available search filters. Note: This link only provides the catalogue of courses, and does not detail the scheduling of the class. It should be used in conjunction with the next link.

Class Schedule â—„ A search form, by term, listing the course's components including lecture times, tutorials, mid-term schedules, etc, where available. Use this resource to acquire the Course Registry Number (CRN), a unique ID number of the course used for quick registration.

The Faculty of Science will be hosting an info session for new CEGEP students on June 6 at 9:30am and there will be separate advising sessions for Med-P students on June 6 atÌý11am and on June 13 at 11am.Ìý

The separate advising sessions for Med-P Qualifying year students will only be posted on the Pre-Registration and Orientation session website closer to the virtual event dates.

UQO courses

Note that all complementary courses must be selected from the list of UQO courses posted above; McGill courses offered on the Montreal campus are not open to this cohort.

Fall Term:

  • 1 required course: STA1003ÌýAnalyses Statistiques 3 credits. (Students are not required to register for the STA1003Ìýcourse if they took an equivalent course in CEGEP. See the list of exemptions here (any course equivalent to MATH 203) Students should consult with their advisorÌýas soon as possible to have their choice replacement course approvedÌý
  • 2 complementary courses 6 credits

Winter Term:

  • 2 complementary courses 6 credits

How to register for UQO courses

There are 2 steps to register for UQO courses. Detailed instructions are also found on the first tab of the UQO complementary course choice spreadsheet above.

Step 1. Check if the course is already listed as 'equivalent' in McGill's Course Equivalency System. If not, submit the request. The suggested McGill department code will be indicated in the list of UQO course options. Once it is approved, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2. Use the Autorisation d’Études Hors Établissement (AEHE) system to submit course registration requests for approval and registration at UQO, and consult the presentation for instructions to register for coursesÌývia the (AEHE) system: File inscription_aehe.pptx

If you receive an error message and can't create an AEHE application, please email admissions.med [at] mcgill.ca, it can take a few days for McGill to transmit your information to the system.

You must register for 1 required course & 4 complementary courses at UQO (Fall 2024 and Winter 2025). Click the course number to see the description, and use the box on the right listed on the UQO course options excel sheet above, to learn who to contact for more information about a course.
