The McGill Centre for Viral Diseases supports innovative research and fosters visionary education in globally threatening viral diseases. Viruses do not discriminate. We strive to benefit all people living with and affected by these diseases regardless of their origin or ethnicity.
Mission:
The mission of the McGill Centre for Viral Diseases is to provide solutions to viral diseases that threaten public health, by advancing research, education, and patient care through inter-disciplinary efforts. The Centre focuses on studying viral diseases posing grave burdens on public health, including, but not limited to, HIV, hepatitis viruses, herpesviruses, Dengue virus, human papillomavirus, influenza virus, Zika virus, Ebola virus, SARS-CoV-2 and others. We are dedicated to train the next-generation healthcare professionals and researchers to strengthen and grow our capacity of investigating and controlling viral diseases.
