Make your voice heard! LibQUAL+ 2022 survey starts March 15
Starting March 15, the LibQUAL+ survey will be emailed to a random sample of McGill students and to all faculty, instructors, research assistants, and research associates. This survey provides the opportunity to give feedback on Library services, collections, and spaces.

Digital Scholarship Hub Software Lab Launching March 7
Monday, March 7 will mark the launch the Library's new Digital Scholarship Hub space in the Redpath Library Building RM-16 (main floor).
The Macdonald Campus Seed Library is back!
On Tuesday, March 1 the Macdonald Campus Library will be opening up the Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be made available to McGill students, faculty, and staff on opening day. Please note that there is a limit of 25 seed packets per borrower.
Revised Author/Creator sorting in catalogue
With a recent update to the Sofia catalogue, the “Author/Creator” search filter now sorts on the record count of the search query. Clicking “Show More ⌄” will expand the filter and sort authors alphabetically, with Latin script listed first.

Open Access Agreement | Institute of Physics (IOP)
Following on the heels of the recent Cambridge open access deal, McGill Library is pleased to announce an OA agreement with the Institute of Physics (IOP). This agreement allows corresponding authors publishing in eligible journals to make their work open at no cost.
Navigation improvements to the Archival Collections Catalogue interface
The McGill Library Archival Collections Catalogue has switched over to a more user-friendly interface to help users navigate archival descriptions. The fresh look will allow researchers to better visualize the relationships between records in a fonds or collection and move between record descriptions.
Open Access Agreement | Cambridge University Press
㽶Ƶ Library is excited to announce the signing of an open access agreement with Cambridge University Press.
McGill corresponding authors publishing with Cambridge's journals have the option to make their work open at no cost.
Eligible authors will receive information about this offer following the acceptance of their article.
Library services & spaces re-open Monday, January 24, 2022
As of Monday, January 24, all Library branches, including stack areas, will be accessible to Library users. In-person reference and circulation services will resume across branches. Visit the hours webpage for a full listing of opening and service hours. Due to University directives, access to library spaces will be limited to current McGill students, faculty, and staff.

OverDrive Classic App to be retired at the end of 2022
OverDrive will be retiring their classic OverDrive app at the end of 2022 and moving users over to their Libby app. Existing users of the classic app will be able to continue using it until the end of the year, however the app will be removed from Apple App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store on February 23, 2022.
Remote access to Library public workstations for McGill students, faculty, staff now available
McGill students, faculty and staff can now connect remotely to Library workstations in order to use specialized software that may not be available on personal computers. Use McGill IT’s AnyDesk Service to locate an available library workstation. Access the workstation remotely using Microsoft Remote Desktop.
Gartner resources now available at McGill
IT Services in collaboration with the Library is happy to announce that McGill students, faculty and staff can now access Gartner, a new resource that provides expert analysis and opinion on IT-related topics at the intersection of business and technology.
