Issue with off-campus users requesting items for pickup, delivery or scanning from WorldCat Local
Off-campus users are currently not able to use the Request button in WorldCat Local to request pickup, delivery, or scanning for items held by the McGill Library.
We are investigating the issue and will report back as the situation develops.
In the meantime, off-campus users can use the Classic Catalogue to look up and request these items.
Changes to off-campus access to Library e-resources - EZproxy migration status
As of Monday, February 16, 2015, access to McGill Library e-resources from off campus will end for all ineligible McGill affiliates. The Library's license agreements for electronic resources generally only cover off-campus access for current McGill students, faculty and staff.

Monday, January 12: Due to a technical issue, the removal of access to McGIll Library e-resources for unauthorized accounts has been delayed.Islamic Studies Library now open for study Saturdays from noon - 6pm
McGill Library is pleased to announce that from January 5 – April 29, 2015, the Islamic Studies Library will be open for study on Saturdays from noon – 6pm.
Funding support for this extended study time was made possible thanks to the SSMU Library Improvement Fund. Â
Osler Library of the History of Medicine re-opens January 5, 2015
After nine months of major roof and HVAC renovation work, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine is set to re-open with full service on Monday, January 5, 2015. This project, funded through the Knowledge Infrastructure Program, involved extensive roof work directly above the Osler Library as well as a replacement of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the Library and the McIntyre Building.
McGill Library closed for the holidays December 25 to January 4
The Library is closed for the holidays from Thursday, December 25, 2014 through Sunday, January 4, 2015, inclusive.
All branches will open on Monday, January 5, 2015.

Access to Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Library e-resources to cease for all ineligible McGill accounts as of January 12, 2015
In July 2013, in an effort to comply with Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Library's licensing agreements for electronic content, the McGill Library began a process of analyzing McGill user and affiliated accounts. Members of the McGill community (i.e. faculty or staff member, medical resident or student) continue to have access to the full range of electronic databases, e-journals and other e-resources.

Over the last few weeks, white boards were placed around the Humanities and Social Sciences Library by the SSMU Library Improvement Fund (LIF) Committee. The goal was to collect feedback and ideas and explore how these funds could be used to improve McGill Library. The LIF Committee and the McGill Library would like to address a number of questions that arose from the consultation.
