The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce it has once again ranked among the world’s top universities at which to study law by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The 2022 placed McGill Law 17th worldwide.

McGill has featured in the global top 20 since THE began publishing rankings specific to law in 2017. This year’s THE law rankings include 257 institutions from 39 countries.

The THE’s Law rankings are based on scores in five categories: teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income. McGill Law received the highest score in the teaching category of any Canadian institution.

“I am delighted to see our faculty recognized once again as one of the best places in the world to study law,” said Dean Robert Leckey. “McGill Law inspires our remarkable students, professors and worldwide network of alumni to take on legal leadership for global challenges.”
