L’évolution en trois temps de l’ouvrage "Interprétation des lois"
The McGill Law Journal () welcomes Professor Mathieu Devinat for its Annual Francophone Conference. His talk is titled "L’évolution en trois temps de l’ouvrage, Interprétation des lois."
A graduate of the Université de Montréal, Mathieu Devinat is a Professor of Law at Université de Sherbrooke and the Executive Director of the University of Sherbrooke Law Review. While he is most widely recognized within the academic and legal circles for his contributions in the fields of private law, comparative law, jurilinguistics and judicial methodology, Professor Devinat will discuss of his most recent field of research, statutory interpretation. Professor Devinat will discuss Pierre-André Côté’s Interprétation des lois, and its previous editions, in order to highlight the evolution of the relationship between the author and judges and their discourses on statutory interpretation throughout the years.
A reception will follow. Refreshments and food will be served.
