Kristy Ironside
Biography: 

Kristy Ironside is Associate Professor of Russian History and William Dawson Scholar in the Department of History and Classical Studies. She is a historian of Russia and the Soviet Union with a special focus on its political, economic, and social transformations. She is the author of A Full-Value Ruble: The Promise of Prosperity in the Postwar Soviet Union (Harvard, 2021) and numerous articles on Russian/Soviet history, as well as a media commentator on historical and contemporary developments in Russia. A first-generation scholar herself, she is especially committed to helping first-generation graduate students navigate academia.
