Biography: 

Dr. Caroline Palmer is a Full Professor in Psychology and holds a Distinguished James McGill Professorship at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. She is the Director of an NSERC-CREATE training grant that funds academic and non-academic internships for graduate students and postdocs.

Her research focuses on auditory cognitive neuroscience, in particular how individuals act in response to sound (music and speech). Dr. Palmer is currently developing and testing computational models via virtual partners who coordinate with humans in groups such as musical ensembles. Dr. Palmer's graduate and postdoc mentees hold academic and industrial positions in North America, Europe, and Australasia.
