Program Description
The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Urban Planning, Policy and Design (Thesis) offered by the Department of Urban Planning in the Faculty of Engineering is a research-intensive program that emphasizes rigorous and research-driven learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in research, analysis, and interpretation to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.
Unique Program Features
- The main outcome of the program is to produce original research under the supervision of a Faculty member on an urban issue of interest with implications for planning, policy or design;
- Our program provides students with opportunities to explore Montréal as a living laboratory for urban planning, policy, and design.
University-Level Admission Requirements
- An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
- English-language proficiency
