Learn more about how graduate students are funded

There are many sources of funding for graduate education, but overall amounts vary depending on the degree level and graduate program. Students accepted to our thesis-based graduate degree programs (Thesis Master’s and PhD) receive a funding letter with their offer of admission. Learn more about funding expectations by degree level on the How Graduate Funding Works website. Average PhD funding levels by discipline and by Faculty can be consulted here.

Prospective students should also explore external sources of funding. Having external funding for your degree may give you a better chance of being admitted to your program of choice.
