The program's objective is to equip students with skills in independent thinking, experimental design, and information synthesis to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.
Keywords: advanced materials, polymers, biomedical, biotechnology, energy, environment, plasma science.
Unique Program Features
- Our research-oriented program focuses on several key areas such as advanced materials and polymers, biomedical engineering and biotechnology, environmental engineering, energy, plasma science and artificial intelligence-assisted design and optimization;
- The program offers advanced training in fundamental knowledge as well as research methods, laboratory safety and research ethics. As such, the program is relevant for those primarily interested in research in addition to those looking for a career in industry. Year-after-year, the program attracts outstanding graduate students from all over the world;
- Department Faculty members typically receive support from government programs (e.g., NSERC, FRQNT, CIHR, CFI, and CRC) and through industry research partnerships and contracts. Research and experimental laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
